Our services

What services do you operate?

Dublin Express operates the 782 and 784 services between Dublin City and Dublin Airport, and the 785 service between Belfast, Dublin Airport and Dublin City. These services operate daily with the first coach starting at 01:55 am and running until 00:35 am.

Where do you stop at Dublin Airport?

All services call at both Terminal 1 & 2 at Dublin Airport.

Where do you stop in Belfast?

The 785 service to Dublin City stops at Glengall Street, opposite Europa Bus Centre, in Belfast. Our stop is located directly outside of Glengall Exchange.

*Please note, if you’re booking a journey to or from Dublin City Centre, coaches drop off at Burgh Quay, (O’Connell St. Bridge) Stop 339. Journeys to Belfast pick up from Custom House Quay, Stop 135271.

^This stop is not wheelchair accessible, the nearest accessible stop is Custom House Quay. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

How long does the journey take?

Our fastest journey between Dublin Airport and Dublin City takes only 14 minutes.

Our fastest journey between Dublin City and Belfast takes 2 hours 20 minutes.

Our fastest journey between Belfast and Dublin Airport takes 1 hour 50 minutes.

Assisted travel information

 

While our coaches are wheelchair accessible, some stops in Dublin do not allow for enough room. Due to this, we request all passengers needing assistance to please call the Assisted Travel Helpline by ringing 01 903 9508 (open 8am - 8pm, 7 days a week) and selecting the Assisted Travel Helpline to enable us to conduct our checks and make sure you can travel comfortably.

Do you allow pets on board?

Unfortunately, we are unable to allow pets to travel on our coaches. However, we welcome highly trained assistance dogs and assistance animals.

We do recommend that customers pre-book as this will help us ensure that you and your assistance dog/animal get a seat and that your assistance dog/animal has enough space for the duration of the journey.

Are your stops manned?

Staff will be available at our Dublin Airport stops from 08:00 to 21:00 at Terminal 2 and 07:00 to 23:00 at Terminal 1.

Can I buy a ticket from the driver?

On our Dublin City to Dublin Airport services, you can buy your ticket directly from the driver*, however, this will be subject to availability as services may be full with pre-booked customers, so it is always advisable to purchase your ticket in advance.

On our Belfast to Dublin services, you need to prebook your ticket online, this can be done through our website, or you can also book from our desk in Terminal 1 at Dublin Airport.

* If you would like to purchase a ticket from our drivers, please be aware that drivers can accept card payments only.

Where is my coach?

You can track your coach in real-time by using Coachtracker, which enables you to see where your coach is and offer you an estimated time of arrival. Click here to track your coach.

Do you accept Leap Cards?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept Leap Cards.

Luggage and lost property

What is the luggage allowance?

You can take two medium-sized suitcases or one large suitcase (each weighing no more than 20kg) on your coach, plus a small piece of hand luggage.

Please note: Medium-sized items are defined as 70cm x 30cm x 45cm, whilst large items may have a max dimension of 75cm x 50cm x 32cm. Your hand luggage can be no larger than 45cm x 35cm x 20cm.

I’ve lost an item on board

If you have misplaced an item while traveling on our services from Dublin City to Dublin Airport and/or Belfast, please contact us using the following information:

  • To reach Terminal 1, please call 00 353 87 4067147.

Ticket Information and Refunds

Can I change the date of my ticket?

On the 782 or 784 services, you can travel 12 hours either side of the scheduled time on your ticket on standby basis when travelling on our services between Dublin City and Dublin Airport.

Those travelling on our 785 Belfast service can travel on the service before or the service after the booked time on your ticket. This will be on a standby basis, subject to seat availability.

If you wish to travel on a different date, you can also refund your ticket free of charge via our cancellation portal up to 24 hours before you depart and rebook for another date.

No matter which service you are booked on, you can also cancel and refund your ticket up to 24 hours before your outbound departure time. You can then rebook a new journey if you wish to.

 

Can I amend or refund my ticket?

A refund can be obtained free of charge on all tickets cancelled 24 hours prior to your outward departure via our cancellation portal. Tickets cannot be amended; however, on the 782 or 784 services, you can travel 12 hours either side of the scheduled time on your ticket on standby basis when travelling on our services between Dublin City and Dublin Airport.

Those travelling on our 785 Belfast service can travel on the service before or the service after the booked time on your ticket. This will be on a standby basis, subject to seat availability.

You can also cancel your ticket free of charge 24 hours before departure and rebook.

Can I get an earlier coach?

On the 782 or 784 services, you can travel 12 hours either side of the scheduled time on your ticket on standby basis when travelling on our services between Dublin City and Dublin Airport.

Those travelling on our 785 Belfast service can travel on the service before or the service after the booked time on your ticket. This will be on a standby basis, subject to seat availability.

What if I miss my coach?

If you miss your coach your ticket we have you covered. On the 782 or 784 services, you can travel 12 hours either side of the scheduled time on your ticket on standby basis when travelling on our services between Dublin City and Dublin Airport.

Those travelling on our 785 Belfast service can travel on the service before or the service after the booked time on your ticket. This will be on a standby basis, subject to seat availability.

Please note, if you are travelling on a different time than stated on your ticket, boarding the coach will be subject to availability.

 

What if my flight is early/delayed?

On the 782 or 784 services, you can travel 12 hours either side of the scheduled time on your ticket on standby basis when travelling on our services between Dublin City and Dublin Airport.

Those travelling on our 785 Belfast service can travel on the service before or the service after the booked time on your ticket. This will be on a standby basis, subject to seat availability.

If your flight is delayed beyond 12 hours please DM us on social media or contact our customer service team.

Please note if you are travelling on a different time than stated on your ticket, boarding the coach will be subject to availability.

Do you need to print out your ticket?

No, you don’t have to print your ticket, you can go paperless and show the ticket to the driver on your phone.

Do I have to get on/off the same stop I booked my ticket from?

No, if you booked a ticket to/from the city centre you can get on or off any of our 15 stops on the 782 or 784 routes.

If you are travelling on the 785 route from Belfast, you can change at the Airport to travel on the 782 or the 784 service but would need to purchase a separate ticket for this journey.

Can I get on the 784 if my ticket is for the 782 & vice versa?

Yes, if you booked a ticket to/from the city centre you can get on or off any of our 15 stops between the airport and city.

Tickets purchased for the 785 route are non-transferrable.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept Debit, Credit Card, Google Pay and Apple Pay. As a safety precaution for our drivers, we are unable to accept cash.

Students

Do you provide a student discount?

Anyone with a Young Adult/Student Leap Card can purchase their ticket on the TFI Go App for a 50% discount on our 782 and 784 services. Unfortunately, we will not be accepting Young Adult/Student Leap Cards on our 785 service.

Travelling with Children

Do I have to pay for my young child?

Infants aged 0-2 travel free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Additional infants aged 0-2 must be paid for.

For the 782 and 784 services, if you are travelling with more than 1 infant aged 0-2 per adult, please book the additional infant as Children (3-15). The price of a child’s ticket online is €2.50 for a single and €3.50 for a return. The price of a child’s ticket on the day is €3 for a single and €4 for a return.

Child ticket prices are the same price as adult tickets for the 785 service.
